"Preparing for the NIC" (Jacksonville)

Participants will prepare for the NIC performance/interview by learning how one becomes eligible for the test. The presenter will update the participants on the changes made by RID regarding where the tests will be offered (just announced in May).  Details of the test sequence, “time on task” and expectations of the interview portion will be explored.   Sample ethical questions will be presented for group discussion and practice vignettes from an RID practice DVD will be shown.

Workshop Objectives:

  • 1.     Participants will learn how to identify the ways an individual can qualify for the NIC written test without having a Bachelor’s degree. (Alternative Pathway)
  • 2.     Participants will be able to describe the test parts, number of vignettes and time on task required in the NIC performance test.
  • 3.     Participants will be able to list and describe at least 3 specific skill areas raters will be evaluating.
  • 4.     Participants will be able to describe the new plans for testing sites.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: No refunds will be given within 30 days of the workshop.

FRID is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This Professional Studies program is offered for .6 CEU's, in general studies, at the “little or no” Content Knowledge Level.



Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transfered.
