Registration

Please join us for back-to-back weekends of learning (and CEUs!) with presenter Andrea M. Bright-Fontana. She will be presenting her 2-part workshop series, "CPS and the CPC" via Zoom for 0.7 CEUs

Part 1: Saturday October 22nd @ 1:00pm-4:30pm EDT
Part 2: Saturday October 29th @ 9:00am-12:30pm EDT

In order to receive the full 0.7 CEUs, registrants must attend BOTH parts (10/22 AND 10/29)

Given that Part 2 is a continuation of Part 1, if registrants miss Part 1 and only attend Part 2, they will not be eligible for any CEUs.
However, if registrants only attend Part 1, they will be eligible to receive partial CEUs (0.35 CEUs).

This workshop series will be presented in ASL

Registrants will receive an email with the Zoom link prior to the event start time. If this email is not received by the start time of the event, please email pdc@fridcentral.org

About the Presenter:
Andrea M. Bright-Fontana, M.A., BEI Court, Master, RID NIC-Advanced. Andrea has worked professionally as an interpreter for more than 20 years and specializes in mental health, post-secondary and legal interpreting. Her and her husband, along with their 3 boys were foster parents for 7 years, and have adopted 3 beautiful Deaf daughters. Since becoming a foster parent, she has recognized the need for more education in the interpreting field related to Child Protective Services (CPS) and working with children who have experienced trauma. This need led to the development of “CPS and the CPC”, “Insights on Child Protective Services for Educational Interpreters”, and “Trauma Informed Interpreting with Children”, co-presented with John Bergernon, PhD. In her free time, she can be found at any of her 6 children's sporting events, camping, the movies, the arcade, and...did she mention 6 kids?!

For any necessary accommodation requests, please email pdc@fridcentral.org at least 14 days before the start time of the event.

Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable.
