"Progress Together" - In the spirit of hosting our first joint FAD-FRID conference, we are striving to strengthen the relationship between our two organizations, paving the way for stronger relationships between our communities. We recognize the importance of understanding and celebrating the diversity within our communities. To do so, it is imperative that we develop greater awareness of the challenges facing members of our communities. With this in mind, the conference will focus around the guiding principle of social justice.  According to the National Association of Social Workers, social justice is "the view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities."  Several of the workshops and the keynote address(es) will revolve around this theme.  We are excited about the first of many joint ventures between FAD and FRID.  Please join us for the start of something great!

We reserved a room block at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Orlando.  The rate is $109 per night (the regular rate is $169/night and up).  It is located in the heart of downtown in close proximity to many local restaurants and bars.  Free self parking (for anyone with a hotel room) and free WiFi throughout the hotel! Click here to reserve your room, or call 866-247-3571 or 407-425-4455, choose option #1 and let them know you are with the Florida Association of the Deaf.
