Team Interpreting

(Deaf & Hearing Interpreters needed)

January 8, 9 & 10, 2016

Description: The workshop covers the rationale, theories and practices of Deaf/Hearing & Deaf/Deaf interpreter teams. Participants discuss justification for teaming, and roles & contributions in achieving full communication access. Participants also explore and practice effective teaming strategies.

**Note: This is a stand-alone workshop; Not required to have attended previous Deaf Interpreter Series workshops.**

Location: FSCJ South Campus, 11901 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32246; Building M2, Room 2222

Cost = $70 for 15 hours of training, 1.5 CEUs

Training schedule will be:  

Fridays 6-9pm 

Saturdays 8am-6pm & 

Sundays 9am-12pm

Presenter’s Bio: Carole Lazorisak, M.A., a certified Deaf interpreter, and an interpreter educator and trainer locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida from New York City. She works with NCIEC in developing Deaf interpreter competencies and curriculum, and collaborates with DI trainers. To learn more about Carole and her work, type her name in the Google search box.
