Interpreter Appreciation Day
Congratulations to all of these FRID members who were selected to win prizes in our 2020 drawing!
On Wednesday, May 6, FRID participated in National Interpreter Appreciation Day! This special day of honoring and thanking interpreters for their commitment to the field and to the communities we serve happens annually on the first Wednesday in May. This year we are excited to announce that we will be offering 25% off FRID memberships from Wednesday, May 1st through Friday, May 3rd (This will apply to all membership categories).
Another way FRID will be supporting interpreters this year will be to host a workshop before the end of the year to help anyone whose CEU cycle is ending. Anyone who is a member at the time the workshop is held will be able to take advantage of yet another way FRID will be supporting interpreters this year. FRID will provide three free hours of continuing education (0.3 CEUs) for anyone who is a member at the time of the workshop in an effort to help anyone whose CEU cycle ends this year. Our hope is that this will reduce the stress interpreters are experiencing in meeting their CEU requirements while many places are still closed down and workshops are being cancelled.
Although we appreciate you everyday, we will be flaunting our love for you even more on National Interpreter Appreciation Day! Stay tuned for more information and check out our Facebook feed on the first Wednesday in May. We hope that you know how much you are appreciated and how much we want to support you and all you do for the ASL community.
